ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - An Iraqi security committee visiting the Kurdish capital on Sunday, inspected the residence of an Iraqi-Kurdish oil tycoon after an Iranian missile barrage left his home in ruins.
Headed by Iraq's National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji, the committee arrived in Erbil on Sunday morning for the purpose of inspecting the site that was heavily damaged by the Iranian missiles.
Under the pretext of hitting an Israeli base, Iran fired a dozen ballistic missiles in the Kurdish capital on Sunday. At least four of the missiles hit the house of Baz Karim, turning the home he shared with his wife, his two kids, and his loved ones, into ruins.
Araji, along with his accompanying delegation and the Kurdistan Region’s Interior Minister, Reber Ahmed, inspected Karim’s house.

The committee has started to “preview, watch and listen to the owner’s [Karim] testimony,” Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, spokesman for Iraq's Joint Operation Command told reporters following the tour.
This is the third Iraqi delegation arriving in Erbil regarding the Iranian attack.
Iran claimed responsibility for last week’s missile attack in Erbil, calling it a “retaliation” for an Israeli strike that killed two members of its forces a week earlier. Tehran said it was targeting Israeli training centers in the city.
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Kurdish authorities have strongly rejected all claims of the presence of Israeli bases in the city.
Erbil and Baghdad met on Thursday to discuss the investigation process of the assault.
