Fifth car bombing shakes Baghdad
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Baghdad has witnessed a fifth car bombing in one day on Tuesday, hitting its eastern neighborhood of Habibia, a Rudaw reporter on the scene said.
At least 44 people died and 90 others were wounded in four car explosions carried out in different parts of Baghdad on Tuesday. It was not immediately clear how many people died or were wounded in the latest attack.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Suicide attacks and car bombings have increased in Baghdad since the recent political tumult in the capital, which saw angry protesters storm the parliament building late last month, demanding substantial political reforms to uproot corruption.
