Iraqi police ready for attack on Ramadi to oust ISIS
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraqi police are poised to advance on Ramadi in Anbar province, following the recapture of the city outskirts. The news comes amid reports that Iraqi forces have arrived at Anbar University, just a few kilometers from the center of Ramadi. But the advance has been slow because of explosives and booby traps planted in the newly-liberated areas.
According to information obtained from residents, people living close to Ramadi’s city gate have evacuated homes in anticipation of upcoming clashes.
