Iraqi army adopts tactic of marching on foot into ISIS sectors of Mosul

After weeks of heavy fighting and suffering many casualties in the bid for Mosul, Iraqi soldiers have now made a change to their tactic and rather advance on foot. This way they would cover more territory and manage to secures one home before moving on to the next.

Their vehicles and armors were easy targets for ISIS snipers, mortar fire or car bombs in the many alleyways of Mosul. Now they hope to march on foot and retake more sectors from the radical group, two of which—the University and Sidiq—are their coming target.
