Video: Explosion targets Hashd al-Shaabi convoy

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — The media office of the Shiite Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization) militias released video footage Monday of what it claims to be an explosion targeting a convoy of the militia group near the Garma district in eastern Anbar province.

No casualty figures were given.

According to a statement by the group, a car bomb rigged with heavy explosives detonated while a Hashd al-Shaabi convoy was advancing towards the ISIS-held district of Garma.

"The bombing was carried out by the so-called Islamic State," according to the statement.
