GWER Front – The Kurdish Peshmerga forces on the Gwer front have advanced at least 10km against Islamic State (ISIS) on Wednesday while coalition forces bombed the militants with at least eight airstrikes since noon, a Peshmerga official told Rudaw.
Qadir Qadir, the Peshmerga commander of the Gwer Front, told Rudaw that the Kurdish fighters have advanced at least 10km near the village of Abu Shita.
“Since 12 at noon the war began between our forces and Daesh gunmen while the Peshmerga were clearing landmines,” Qadir said, adding that fighting is ongoing.
