Houthi militia used Katyusha rockets on the Addurba residential area in Taiz killing a child and injuring others. One child is in hospital in critical condition.
Many civilians, including children, women and elderly, are killed on a daily basis in Yemen as residential areas are indiscriminately targeted by both sides of the conflict: Iranian-backed Houthis and the Saudi-backed president, Ali Abdullah Saleh.
"The child was hit by shell fragments after a strike on Addurba neighborhood at 5pm. It was a gift from Saleh and Houthi gangs. Their gifts are mortar shells and Katyusha rockets and all internationally forbidden weapons striking neighborhoods in Taiz, killing and injuring innocent people," said Dr. Yasser Almariki, Methaq organization director.
