Today marks nine years since the start of Rudaw Media Network. Rudaw continues to adopt professionalism in its work, focusing on retaining people’s trust in its coverage and keeping that as its main goal.
Delivering accurate and thorough news is Rudaw’s style of work for events in the Kurdistan Region, the Middle East, and around the globe. The network insisted on reflecting that in its coverage across the Region, Syria, and its on-the-ground reporting of the war in Ukraine.
The network has faced several obstacles in the last year. However, it was able to bypass the impediments and continue providing its services to people due to the smart judgments of its employees.
Rudaw continues to increase its partnerships with other prominent international and regional agencies. In the past year, Rudaw has signed partnership agreements with three prominent agencies in Europe and Asia. Furthermore, it has expanded its partnership with major companies such as Google and Meta.
Rudaw’s reports have been disseminated to the world on a daily basis by several agencies, media organizations, and TV channels.
Rudaw is starting its new year by giving a special focus to climate change; a TV presenter and a dedicated team are set to work on the issue.
On the anniversary of the founding of Rudaw Media Network, we congratulate our colleagues and remember Shifa Gardi who was killed while covering the fight against the Islamic State in Mosul in 2017, and our reporter Farhad Hamo who was kidnapped by the militant group in Syria in 2014.
