The Indian Consulate General in Erbil on Monday held a cultural event in Erbil where a prominent Indian troupe performed, celebrating the country’s 74th Republic Day.
India annually celebrates the national day on January 26 when the country’s constitution came into effect in 1950.
The Indian Consulate General partnered with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) on Monday, celebrating the 74th Republic Day in Erbil.
A cultural performance was presented by Amey Patil Dance Troupe which has performed hundreds of times in various events. The group amused the attendees of the event, which included several Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) officials. Their dance represented the “rich culture and diversity of India,” said the consulate in a Facebook post.
