Family feud injures 10 people in Akre: Police

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Two neighbours clashed in Akre town, Duhok province on Tuesday, resulting in the injury of 10 people from both sides, according to police. 

Rashid Mohammed, head of Akre police department, told Rudaw’s Nasir Ali that two neighbours, who are also relatives, clashed with stones and wood logs. 

He added that several people from both sides were injured and their case will be determined by court. 

Ihsan Salih, director of Gulan Hospital, told Rudaw that ten people were injured in the clash. 

Rudaw has learned that the feud was caused by children fighting. 

Family feuds are common in the Kurdistan Region, usually leading to armed clashes. 

Two families in Duhok province’s Kalak town clashed last Tuesday due to an old issue, causing the injury of six people from both sides.
