ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - A traffic accident in Sulaimani province on Wednesday resulted in the death of two people and the injury of two others.

The accident occurred at around 9:15 am local time, with Saman Nadir, the head of Sulaimani health directorate's emergency unit saying that several emergency teams were dispatched to the site of the accident on the Sulaimani - Arbat road.

Bakhtyar Mohammed, the media director of Sulaimani traffic police directorate told Rudaw that the crash occurred between two vehicles, one of which was a taxi. One of the vehicles was heading towards Arbat when it lost control and veered into the lane going towards the direction of Sulaimani.

Two people were killed in the crash and two others are severely injured, according to Mohammed.
