Coalition shells ISIS-held bridge on eastern Tigris River
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Warplanes from the US-led coalition have
shelled Badoosh Bridge along the eastern Tigris River, with heavy ISIS casualties reported.
“Four coalition warplanes are carrying out intense airstrikes on the area, and according to reports, ISIS does have casualties and their bases have been destroyed,” said Zaki Stooni, a Peshmerga official in the Barzan army
He added: “Over the last days, ISIS had brought a huge force to the area, gearing up to launch an assault, but the coalition warplanes have kept them under heavy bombardment.”
Stooni said ISIS bases were believed to be destroyed from monitoring communication devices captured from the militants.
“When the militants call [the bases] no one answers”
