Coalition airstrikes kill 30 ISIS militants
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – The US-led coalition forces hammered Islamic State bases west of the group’s stronghold of Mosul, killing at least 30 radicals, a Peshmerga source told Rudaw.
The source, who spoke to Rudaw on condition of anonymity, said on Saturday the coalition airstrikes conducted against ISIS in Badosh and Halabiya region, west of Mosul, have killed at least 30 radicals.
According to the Peshmerga source, commanders and military experts were also among ISIS casualties.
“Apart from casualties, a number of military bases have been vanished by the airstrikes,” the source has added.
Months of airstrikes by the US-led coalition believed to be a preparation to retake ISIS self-claimed capital of Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city that fell to the radicals last June.
