ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - A group of the Barzan Peshmerga Command on Thursday performed a set of military skills following the completion of a training course which put the bodies and minds of the participants through high levels of discipline.
A total of 600 Peshmerga completed a four-month training program at the headquarters of the Erbil Infantry Training Base, covering a set of different categories which included basic military training, physical training, various weapons training, and military tactics and national awareness.
Najat Ali, a commander of the Peshmerga forces, in a speech stressed the need for an organized Peshmerga force to combat any potential threats in the Kurdistan Region.
“We will continue in our efforts to institutionalize the Peshmerga,” said Ali.
