Iran shells Kurdish village
HALABJA, Kurdistan Region— Iranian artillery bombarded a Kurdish village at the foot of the Surin Mountain early Wednesday morning. No casualties have been reported.
"Today Iranian artilleries began shelling Komirsi village before dawn at three in the morning, the village is located in Nawbariza township in the outskirts of Penjuin district," the information center of Penjuin told Rudaw.
The center added, "Iran's Revolutionary Guards fired three artillery shells into the village, which lies at the foot of Mount Surin, leading to a fire in the region; however, the residents were able to put out the fire without causing major damages."
The source also told Rudaw: "Iranian warplanes constantly fly in the area."
