Chaldeans are one of Iraq’s shrinking Christian minority communities. Many of them live and worship in Ainkawa, a neighborhood in northern Erbil city.
Many of Iraq’s Christians fled their homes in Nineveh in search of safety in the Kurdistan Region when ISIS militants swept through the province. Others have chosen to emigrate to Europe or the Americas.
