Kirkuk police arrest suspected female ISIS leader
KIRKUK, Kurdistan Region – Kirkuk’s suburban police force arrested a female ISIS leader in the city on Friday.
Brigadier General Sarhad Qadir, director of Kirkuk’s suburban police, told Rudaw they arrested her after receiving a tip that an ISIS suspect had infiltrated the city. He identified the arrested woman as Taghrid Abdullah who had been the head of an education council in the town of al-Zab, 30 km west of Hawija.
“This woman has been referred to the court in accordance with article 4 of terrorism for investigation,” Qadir said.
She was reportedly married to an ISIS military leader in al-Zab.
