The fifth group of Orange Corners participants was announced in Erbil with the participation of Jort Posthumus, the deputy Dutch consul general in the Kurdistan Region.

The ceremony was held on Wednesday for 25 boys and girls with ideas. Participants were from the Kurdistan Region's cities and must complete their projects within six months.

The project is financially supported by the Dutch government while the consulate provides financial support to the project leaders in several stages, handing out 300 euros monthly to the project participants for the development of the project.

According to its website, Orange Corners Erbil is a startup incubator that helps entrepreneurs across the Kurdistan Region to launch and grow their businesses.

The projects are scheduled to be evaluated in June, with each successful project being rewarded between 20,000 to 40,000 euros. Those who fail to complete their project in time will be given a loan of 40,000 euros but must repay that sum in installments.
