Kurdish families of Cukurca district own big fields of sesame crops. They never use pesticides for tahini production.
Sesame cultivation has increased in the town in the last few years, according to Anadolu Agency (AA).
The Kurdish family featured in the photographs, taken on Tuesday, prepare tahini by grinding sesame in the traditional way with a water-powered stone mill.
They sell the product based on orders received.
