Duhok shop rents out traditional Kurdish clothing for men

DUHOK, Kurdistan Region - A businessman in Duhok offers a Kurdish men's clothing rental service that has been operating for 18 years.

They provide different styles in various colors for every occasion, as well as custom-made Kurdish clothes, which are limited in quantity.

“Regular people come here, artists come here, people getting married come here, TV presenters come here, and drama actors come here. Most of them come here, and we serve them all,” Dzhwar Koremayi, the owner of the store, told Rudaw.

Across Duhok, there are five different locations that rent and sell men’s Kurdish clothes. Each store rents around 100-120 clothing sets every month.

Hundreds of Kurdish clothing sets are available for customers based on their orders.

The prices vary depending on quality and the number of pieces rented, ranging from 10,000 dinars ($7.6) to 100,000 dinars ($76).

Many people often resort to renting traditional clothes, as some outfits can cost up to $1,000.
