Kurdish healer: Trump is possessed; I can cure him by beating soles of his feet

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — A Kurdish healer who claims to draw his knowledge and powers from God says that US President Donald Trump is possessed and unless he is cured he will either go insane or be killed before finishing his first term in office.

Known as Mala Ali Kalak and based in a small town outside Erbil on the road to Mosul, he says he has treated many cases of cancer and HIV, including government officials.

“Trump is possessed and I need to beat him on the soles of his feet to get the jinni out of his body,” Mala Ali told Rudaw in an interview. “He has lost his mind and oversteps his boundaries all the time. He needs help. Unless he is cured he will continue to act like he does now.”

He predicts meanwhile that Trump will not finish his first term as president and that “he will either go insane or be killed. He has become a creature that attacks everyone.”

Mala Ali who claims to have been endowed with the power to heal any disease under the sun says that he can and has indeed offered to cure Jalal Talabani, Iraq’s former president and head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) who suffered a brain stroke in 2012.

“I am still keeping my promise to treat him and because of this the PUK leadership has split into two,” Mala Ali claimed. “Some of them wanted me to treat him and the rest didn’t. They wanted me to go see mam Jalal but I don’t do such a thing. The patient must come to me.”

Mam Jalal is Talabani’s Kurdish nickname.

Mala Ali is confident that Talabani — who spent months in a German hospital — will be walking on his own feet within months if he is allowed to treat him.

“He still can’t speak and his memory is gone, but if they bring him to me I will still go ahead and cure him for the sake of God,” Mala Ali maintained. “He has done great service and I want to pay him back. I assure you all that if he uses my prescriptions for just five months he will walk on his own feet once again.”

Kurdish health officials have long warned people against seeking help from Mala Ali, whose prescriptions have included drinking camel urine mixed with milk or pieces of napkin, or caning patients on the soles of their feet.

But Mala Ali, who boasts a long black beard and wears a white gown with an Arabic style head cover, says that he gets his powers from God and that he is not a magician.

“I have cured many Iraqi government and party officials of cancer and other serious diseases but I cannot mention their names because I promised them that,” he claims.

He suggests that he can save many patients from deadly diseases and the government tons of money if he is permitted to work freely out of hospitals.

“If the government allows me to build three hospitals in Kurdistan with just 150 staff I will be able to reduce cancer and prevent cases of self-immolation,” Mala Ali believes. “Not only that, I will also save the Kurdish government $90 million in under ten months.”

Mala Ali believes that Iraq and Syria are occupied by evil spirits and many Iraqi officials are possessed by them.

“I keep saying it but no one is listening to me. A huge number of jinnis have come to Iraq’s sky. Even Lucifer himself is among them and I’ve heard this from the spirits themselves. Jinnis have occupied all of Iraq and Syria and the situation could only get worse," Mala Ali said.

“Most Iraqi MPs and ministers are possessed and they have come to me and I have thrashed them. They mostly come after work hours so no one sees them. They are all possessed that is why they can’t agree on anything.”

Even leaders of the communist party have come to realize his powers and seek his help, says Mala Ali.

“Even the communist party has now realized that I have a heavenly force behind me and their leaders come to me for help,” he revealed. “A senior leader of the communist party had been married for twenty years and they couldn’t have a child. I treated them and within two months they conceived. They named their boy Ali.”
