In the city of Sulaimani, foreign workers from Nepal, Bangladesh and India gather in front of Bakhi Gshti (Public Park) every Friday.
As they gather, they share memories, eat food from across cuisines, and dance together. They come to the Kurdistan Region to work and make money to support their families in their home countries.
Sulaimani Public Park is located in the city's centre, where Salim Street begins.
Created in 1937, the park is regarded as one of Sulaimani's most famous landmarks. Tens of statues of Kurdish famous poets and figures line the park. It welcomes hundreds of local and foreign tourists every day.
