Shopkeepers and vendors in Erbil welcome the holy month of Ramadan in a unique way by paying great attention to the lighting and design of their shops.
Furat Khalil Akreyi, who has been designing for more than 17 years, told Rudaw that he makes most of the unique signs, lightings, and designs in Erbil, while adding that restaurant owners and shopkeepers pay significant attention to lighting and decorating their shops during the month of Ramadan.
Residents of Erbil enthusiastically welcome religious holidays, especially the month of Ramadan and the birthday of Prophet Mohammed.
According to Akreyi, a large number of shopkeepers and vendors in Erbil buy Ramadan accessories during the beginning of the holy month, and the designs differ year to year.
