ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – The first significant rainfall of the rainy season has come to the Kurdistan Region. Sulaimani recorded the highest level of rainfall, receiving 106.2mm of rain in 24 hours.
“There has been heavy rainfall in the Kurdistan Region over the past 24 hours. It is a good start for the rainy season,” Fazil Ibrahim, director general of the Kurdistan Region’s meteorological office, told Rudaw.
The Kurdistan Region receives the majority of its precipitation between December and April.
