Czech Republic ready to bolster relations with the Kurdistan Region: CG
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received the newly-appointed consul general of Czech Republic in Erbil on Tuesday. The Czech diplomat said his country is ready to develop relations in various fields with the Region.
“Czech [Republic] is ready to improve relations with the Kurdistan Region in all fields,” Karel Kortanek was quoted as saying in a readout released by Barzani’s office.
Kortanek also thanked the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) institutions for their coordination with his office, according to the readout.
The consulate general confirmed in a tweet that they seek better relations with the KRG.
Last year, the consulate organised a “diplomatic friendship bazaar” in Erbil, aimed at strengthening ties between the local community and consulates of eight countries.
