Atta Faris, a native of Sulaimani city, has taken to ostrich farming.

He has brought ostriches from Australia and Africa and raises them for their meat and eggs.

He knows it is a long-term investment that will take years to fully develop, but he is optimistic that it will pay off in the end as it is a rare species in this region and people may develop a taste for them in the future.
