RANYAH, Kurdistan Region – Music and dance artists from many distinct cultures came together for the sixth annual Festival of Different Cultures on Thursday.
Some 5,000 people turned out for the three-day festival, organized by
Rayal Center for Cultural Exchange and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Ministry of Culture and Youth.
The festival showcased traditional dance, including the famous Kurdish Halparke, and performances by the Yezidi Sharia Dance group, the Iraqi National Local Arts group, and an Iranian arts group called Haray Quchan.
Artists from Jordan, Morocco, and India also took part.
