ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Rudaw Media Network’s Creative Department on Friday received a Silver Stevie Award at a ceremony in Istanbul for its innovative rebranding and digital identity project, months after the network was announced as a winner of the prestigious international award.
The award was presented during the Stevie Awards for the Middle East and North Africa ceremony in Istanbul, Turkey, for Rudaw’s “Rudaw Media Network Rebranding and Digital Identity 2025” project in the Innovation in Rebranding category.
Mehmed Alsafar, head of Rudaw’s Creative Department, attended the ceremony and accepted the award on behalf of the network.
“It is a great honor for us at Rudaw Media Network to receive this award. For us, this rebranding demonstrates that innovation is not merely about appearing with a new look, but about redefining how we express our identity, with the confidence to aim higher,” Alsafar said.
“Winning Rudaw’s seventh Stevie Award makes this moment even more special. I am extremely proud of our creative team and proud that we are taking creativity from Kurdistan to the world,” he added.
Rudaw was announced as the winner of the Silver Stevie Award in April, when the judging panel praised the network’s 2025 digital rebranding initiative for repositioning it as a contemporary player in the global media landscape.
“They have done exceptional work in redefining themselves as a modern participant in the world of media,” the awards jury said at the time.
Lawk Dana, a senior designer at Rudaw’s Creative Department, said the recognition was the result of extensive work by the team.
“We began redesigning and renewing Rudaw Media Network, and we are proud to have won this award,” Dana said.
The Silver Stevie is Rudaw’s seventh Stevie Award, following six wins across 2023, 2024, and 2025.
