ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - The Kurdistan Region Presidency late Friday condemned a bombing targeting a passenger bus in Syria's Rif Dimashq, which injured more than a dozen people.
"The Kurdistan Region Presidency condemns the bombing that targeted a passenger bus in the city of Jaramana, resulting in a number of casualties," said the Presidency in a statement.
"In the wake of this tragic incident, the Presidency extends its deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the government and people of the Syrian Arab Republic and to the families of the victims, and wishes all those injured a speedy recovery," it added.
The bombing, which targeted a passenger bus late Thursday, injured 14 people, according to Syrian authorities.
Several explosions have been reported in Syria in recent months. An attack targeted a cafe in Damascus last month, killing nine people. Explosions were also reported in the capital during French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to the city in July.
Syrian authorities said late Friday that they had killed two Islamic State (ISIS) suspects in Damascus, claiming the pair were planning an attack on a government facility.
